"World of Owls" hopes to bring people, young and old, from all sections of the community to a beautiful location where they can be shown the need for conservation by one of nature's most wonderful creatures.

The education program of the "World of Owls" is designed to facilitate the National Curriculum's key stages in order to help Northern Ireland's younger generation learn about a range of topics including environmental and ecological issues.

It is also the "World of Owls" aim to have a visitor centre that can be enjoyed by every section of the community. The "World of Owls" centre is wheelchair accessible. Staff are trained in all aspects of working with the public including special needs training.

(Remember this is a rehabilitation centre, so it’s not possible to guarantee which animals will be on site at any one time.)

Owls from all over the world also Eagles, Falcons, Hawks and Vultures (WE ARE NOT A FALCONRY CENTRE)

Local Wildlife and The Forest

Local Fallow Deer, Squirrels and wild birds, bugs & beasties, wild flowers, trees and shrubs, etc.

Meet the Birds

A chance to meet the birds up close, guided tours and talks on the conservation work we are involved in around the world. (There is a small charge for a private guided tour and only available if staff available)

Crawlies Cavern

Snakes, Spiders, Scorpions, other reptiles and much more. Meet Shiney one of the biggest snakes on display in (NI)

Wildlife Conservation

Witness some rescue, rehabilitation, conservation and environmental work for Northern Ireland.

Cafe

Tea, coffee, soft drinks, light refreshments and snacks.

Staff

Our staff is a close knit bunch of family and friends who work extremely hard and voluntarily to run the sanctuary and give our animals a better life. They have spent a long time learning about many animals and wildlife so please do feel free to stop them and ask questions, they will be only too happy to help!

Everyone at World of Owls is voluntary; all proceeds are to aid the animals in our care!
