The hotel is just 10 minutes from Limerick city centre and 20 minutes from Shannon Airport and offers easy access to the motorway, yet feels like a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city with its tranquil countryside setting. This ensures that the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa Limerick is the ideal base from which to explore, not only all the fun-filled family attractions that the region has to offer such as the fascinating Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, King John’s Castle, Craggaunowen, Stonehall Wildlife Farm,  but also the wonders of both the Wild Atlantic Way and Ireland’s Ancient East.

Our family bedrooms are located on the ground floor and can comfortably accommodate 2 adults and up to 3 children. Interconnecting rooms for families of up to 6 people are also available. Our child friendly services include a babysitting upon request, travel cots if required and a late check-out for sleepy snoozers. Our Super Breakfast Buffet is included with all family stays. All guests can choose from an array of continental dishes and the staples of a Full Irish Breakfast. The buffet also offers a selection of aromatic coffees and teas that go perfectly with homemade pastries and breads. Young diners can 'Stay & Eat for Free' and are offered the facility of making their own smoothies as part of our dedicated kids breakfast buffet. We also provide a healthy children’s menu and are happy to cater for any special dietary requirements.

Keeping the little ones engaged and entertained is always important during a family break and at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Limerick, fun is taken very seriously! Upon arrival, each child receives a Global Explorers gift pack. Containing pictures to colour, currency to use in exchange for treats and games, the kids are guaranteed to be kept entertained for hours. Onsite there is tennis and basketball courts, a playground and magical fairy garden, ideal for kids who like the outdoors. The Global Explorers Kids Club offers an impressive selection of fully supervised seasonal indoor and outdoor activities ranging from Meet The Animals to Water Zorbing to Hoverball Archery. These activities are designed to entertain and engage children of all ages and interests. While the kids are trying out activities and making new friends, Mum and Dad have the opportunity to relax and unwind. Wander through the grounds, take a stroll on our 800m walking trail, indulge in a well-deserved treatment in the Rain Spa and Leisure Club or enjoy a hot beverage and a chat in the inviting Quench Bar.

The hotel has 154 recently refurbished bedrooms, which are spacious and bright with contemporary interiors using rich and luxurious fabrics and modern furnishings and many bedrooms have charming views over the gardens and Woodcock Mountains.

In 2017, Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa Limerick invested in a new dedicated kids playroom on the grounds of the hotel which we named the ‘Global Explorer’s Basecamp’. Fully supervised by the Blu Crew team, this is an ideal space for children to make life-long friends with seasonal activities scheduled at weekends and school holidays. This fully equipped playroom boasts giant games such as snacks and ladders, Jenga and Connect 4 while also offering a Pool Table, Plasma TV’s and Play Station 4 Consoles.

Magical Fairy Garden – At the same time a new Fairy Family also carved their way around their little town of curved houses, with colourful doors and pocket windows – leaving a trail of fairy dust behind them.

This year saw us increase the amount of family rooms from 26 to 32 to meet the growing demand in the Leisure market.
